About Me
My name is Lyndi Leonard and I am the owner of Beyond Speech Therapy, and a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). I have four children and a husband who amaze me every day, and we enjoy being outside as often as possible. We love to hike, kayak, fish, swim, and travel. If it's not nice out, I spend my free time reading, cleaning up after the kids, and convincing them to do things that don't involve a screen!

I believe that communication is the foundation for every aspect of our lives from helping to shape our personality, forming relationships with friends and family, to our success at work. I look beyond a diagnosis or area of difficulty, truly listen to your concerns, and focus on the whole person and how we can work together as a team to meet your goals.

I earned my Master's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2010 from the University of Iowa. Go Hawks! Since 2010, I have worked as an SLP in a variety of settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital, neonatal intensive care unit, early intervention, and in public and private schools. This background provided experience in treating a large variety of clients and shaped the practice philosophy for Beyond Speech Therapy.

In home and Community Visits
Speech Language Therapy that comes to you! We take the travel and waiting out to make therapy easier for you. Therapy in home or daycare means you're more comfortable and makes transferring the skills you learned easier. We will travel within 20 miles of Manchester, IA. Farther than 20 miles may be available for a fee.
Teletherapy Visits
Teletherapy is offered anywhere in Iowa. Research has shown that teletherapy is as effective as in person services for many, and even has some additional benefits including fun and interactive tools and eliminating travel time and cost.
